Safeword Studios Delivery Wars: Making the cut_GDD

For this game we had to build up a studio structure with a small group of students. We were tasked with building an Analog game based on a specific set of words we were given. The basis of the game was a tongue in cheek view of a fictitious Game Design company with popular Geek culture references built into the game. For art we used Pixel based art that we created in Paint.  The premise of the game was to be the one that got hired on at the studio at the end of the game. To accomplish this, you had to make the Producer happy by collecting items on a list from the departments in any way you could. This meant that the player had to move around the board interacting with each department in an attempt to gain the items they need for their list while avoiding being trolled by other players.

The if the player had more resources of a particular department they were given the opportunity to trade with another if they went to the Conference Room. Players could also troll other players by drawing a cards that had both positive or negative effects on how the game would be played.

At the end of the month we had a game that was fun to play and represented the culture that we all come from.
